55 David Lewis from Perth Western Australia: The funniest moment for me was when Charlie Williams came on the Comedians. What an accent!! He was the funniest guy I have ever heard. He wasn't too bad a football player either. I watched him playing for Doncaster Rovers against Liverpool.

42 Julie Dorne from Hartlepool: As an entertainer I knew most of the comedians. I was married to Billy Fontayne who has now retired to Hartlepool aged 70. Billy worked for many years in Benidorm alongside Terry King and the Slitherman Roy Jay who have both sadly died. Roy Walker is now doing the odd show on cruises and Frank Carson is still working - great guy and very funny man. Comedians currently working in Benidorm are Albi Senior, Jason Kane, Davy Royal Mike Curtis and a very funny young man called Gary Gworge -watch out for them in Bernidorm.

The show was produced and compered by Tony Jo, who appearerd on numerous series of the tv show in the 80's. Headling was the legendary Mick Miller a dear friend of mine and the ultimate comedians comedian. In total 6 comics appeared on the show each night. Chatting to Tony he's putting together another 'The Comedians Live Show' in Blackpool for 2010. Please support the show and keep laughing in these continued difficult times.

I also wondered where he went as he was quite popular in Seaside Special type shows in the 80s. I saw him perform in a dodgy bar in Benidorm a few years ago - a shadow of his former self.
