18 Isaac from sheffield: ha, i've just discovered this old gem browsing youtube and have been watching it non-stop for days! i just love the grey john major! The song about jeremy beadle is my favorite though.
17 Matthew Dickinson from: Why did this marvellous programme come to an end?
16 m merritt from: its more of a question on where would i be able if possible to buy a replica of these puppets.
15 harry marway from goodmayes, ilford: a brilliantly constructed programme and hope ITV show it again on one of its channels...basically showed politics on tv as it was..thanks
14 Alfie Huffman from Calgary, Alberta, Canada: I will never forget the sketch of Pope Jean Paul II and the cardinal. The cardinal looks out onto St. Peters' Square and says "J is back, he is moving among the crowd in a mysterious way" to which the Pope starts to panic in his John Wayne voice and shouts "quick, turn over the mattresses, rip out the condom machines" ..... The cardinal then starts laughing and says "April Fool". The sketch ends with the Cardinal in a leper colony saying "You see, no sense of humour".
I still use that line today and people look at me blankly - of course, they have no idea what I'm talking about.
13 jo from: Can anyone tell me the name of Maggie Thatchers lapdog on the show?
12 Jonathan Garratt from Birmingham: I am in desperate need of help.I am a design tech student who is making a spitting image like puppet for my project. 11 Carla from England: SPITTING IMAGE PUPPET
Hi All
Thought you might be interested to know there is a spitting image puppet for sale on www.ebay.co.uk or www.ebay.com under item number 3352356471
10 Eve from Dublin Ireland: i was quite young when spitting image was broadcasting however i thought it was hilarious and the puppets of the Royal Family absolutely cracked me up. watching videos of it when i was in my teens made me realise the dry wit of the characters. it was an absolute piss take of everybody important and i loved it. Especially the Margaret Thatcher puppet it looked quite evil actually.
9 James Kendricks from Savannah, GA USA: My favorite is the one showing Johnny Carson and his sidekick Ed. Just thinking of that makes my break out in laughing fits.
8 Bastiaan from Amsterdam: A memorable scene is when Gorbachev is dressed up as Rambo, acting suspicious in the Kremlin when the voice-over says: "Gorbo, he works from the inside.."
7 Claire from Antrim: The best TV satire show ever made- surprisingly un-dated and still as hilarious and enjoyable as it ever was today. The caricatures, voicework and comedy are all excellent- let's see it back on again!
6 Doug from California: I Watched a few episodes shown in the states in the late 1980s. I Could not belive how daring and funny spitting Image truly was. I thought the Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher puppets
brought out their real personalities. I wish that new episodes would be made for today because today's world leaders are just as funny as yesterdays.
5 deian v from Bath, UK: one of the best biting satirical shows ever. a groundbreaker and very funny too. thank the lord we have 2dtv now to take over now. we need shows like spitting image more than ever.
4 john from michigan: My favorite moment is Leonardo Nimoy "I'm not Spock". The way his pointed ears flap up and down when he doesn't get a acting part still makes me fall out of my chair laughing.
Wonder if he could fly with those things.
3 Dave Benyon from Bude: I used to enjoy the programmes a lot. I am hopeless at art and drawing etc but was hoping to find a caricature of Mrs T that would help me to make a gargoyle/urinal (considering doing pottery classes this autumn)

1 Loretta from Virginia: My favorite one was the Chernobyl episode.
The one about the newscast where they mention that government officials say that the wind won't blow any radiation from Russia to England and then the
lights go out and everyone in the studio has glowing eyes and mouths. I still laugh myself silly about this
episode.
