MASH Classic TV Show
They were a MASH (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital) unit stationed three miles from the front. Incoming helicopters full of wounded brought the horrors of war to them daily and sometimes bullets flew right outside the operating room door. Hilarity and hijinks were all that kept them sane. Now journey back to that special place where friendships were forged, laughter was found and drinks were served.
MASH Fan Tributes37 louise from oxford: a very funny show from start to finish, all the characters crease me up with laughter espcially klinger when he is in drag wanting a section 8
36 Julea from Winnipeg: I LOVE mash! I just started watching it and Im hooked! Its on every day after school! Its the best! Hawkeye is the greatest! Who wouldve thought a 13 year olds fav show would be mash!
35 kaitlyn from nova scotia: mash is the best show ever i then hawkeye is really cool he is the best
34 Patricia from North Carolina: I got hooked on MASH about two years ago. There was a marathon with the interviews and stuff, and I just started watching it with my uncle and parents. Can you imagine a 16 year old into the oldies like that?! I wish there was a channel dedicated to this show. One of my friends named her cat Radar after the character Radar O Reilly. I have several fansites in my bookmark page. In case you were wondering, my favorite character would either be Klinger or Radar. =) One of my faves!!!
33 kevin smith from hamilton ont: i have all the seasons of m.a.s.h on dvd and one two season on tape still i loved captin hawkeye and BJ and TRAPPER John hot lips. HENRRY BLeck P.s. from MR. k smith
32 rob from sydney australia: i can watch the dvd over and over again it was funny cant live with out it thats why i bought box set dvds pitty they finished it thanks for while it lasted
31 marcus from wyoming: I used to sit up at night with my Dad and watch MASH. he passed away at the age of 39, but I have the great memories of sitting, laughing our butts off watching Alan Alda, and the gang!, a great show!
and i hold alot of good memories because of it.
30 Lucas Holt from Dayton: The early incarnation of the TV show really did do as much justice as was permitable to the film, despite what Robert Altman might believe. Had it not been for Alan Alda's unforseen rise to the front of the class, the original cast may have survived until the final episodes. Interesting idea.
29 Lucas Holt from Dayton: " I'm just here to play a little poker, have a few drinks, and figure out the meaning of life. " - Maj. Sidney Freedman ( two 'e's, like in " freedom " )
28 Shawn Rizzo from: The best ever. ADAMS RIBS! A real place in Chicago. Best Episode ever. WEll..251 shows...I might be worng.
27 Jill from Washington State: I've seen them all so many times and I still laugh! One of my favorite episodes is when Frank Burns shows his humorous side and plays numerous practical jokes on Hawkeye.
26 Jimmy from West Virginia: Mash is the best, and I think It should never be taken off the air. I think all of them is great. My favorite is the last show, Good Bye Fairwell and Amen.
25 Sean Campbell from California: MASH is a great show. I think the best character is Frank Burns. What a great actor!
24 Pat from Stevensville Md.: I am a very big Fan of MASH and one of my favorite episodes is when Hawkeye calls to Chicago, for Adams ribs.
23 hawkeye from mash: Mash was the best tv show and still is I think, Radar should have stayed for all the seasons instead of leaving in saeson 8.
22 pauline nield from England: This was the most fabulous programme I ever seen and dont know why it cant be brought back to our screens.
21 Siu-Yin from Puerto Rico: MASH is the best TV series ever. Not only combines great actors with whom you can identify, but they just become part of your life.I used to love Trapper, Blake, and Radar, but after Potter, B.J., and Charles arrived, I enjoyed the show even more. Last episode, one of the greatest!!!!
20 Tiffany E. Ickes from Chambersburg, PA: Mash is my all time favorate show. I've collected clothes. Have a picture and every season. The best show ever made for tv!
19 Darrell R. Johnson from Eastview KY: Watching MASH, made you feel like you with you're own family, or rather inlaws.
18 Darcy from TN: M*A*S*H is the best show ever. Hawkeye is the greatest character to ever be created for our viewing pleasure. I have so many favorite episodes but one of them is where Hawkeye is writing his will and gives B.J's daughter, Erin, a list of all the men her daddy saved. He's such a good friend.
17 Sheri from Texas: I love Col.Potter and BJ. I think they came into a show that was already established and pulled it off. That shows me what great actors those two men are.
16 Robyn from Battle Creek: I wish I was there to watch them put together this awesome show. They make me laugh and make me feel better when I'm low. Thank to all the crew.
15 karl from coalhurst alberta canada: great show still watching the re-runs till this day i know all shows by heart.
14 Matilda from Sthlm, Sweden: I think that all the seasons where Hawkeye and Trapper are together are just outstanding! In the later seasons when BJ take Trappers place, the standard falls a little bit but I must say that Alan Alda makes the show!
Anyway, I love it!
13 beth from canada: To the HOT Alan Alda as Capt. Benjamin Franklin 'Hawkeye' Pierce. He made the show for me.
12 Michael from Milwaukee: MASH was and still is one of the all-time great television programs. I wish there could be more programs with the courage MASH had that shows the trials, suffering, and protesting of war.
11 David Stanley from Farmington, New Mexico: MASH is certainly entertaining enough, although the earlier episodes are my favorites. As the seasons progressed, the emphasis of the show changed from wacky comedy with a subtle anti-war message to a more liberal in-your-face military/government bashing. Alan Alda's sensitive male role grew tiresome after awhile. He evolved from a quick witted drunk womanizer to an annoying liberal with his constant anti-war preaching by the end of the series.
10 Patrck from Albany New York: There are so many great episodes of M*A*S*H* that it is impossible for me to list even my favorite 25 of them, however, I have to say that any of the episodes with Colonel Flagg would rank right up there. For those of you who own the first 8 seasons on DVD as I do, take a look at how Radar smokes a cigar without any hesitantion early on in the series (during the Col Blake years 1-3) and then later on in the series (during the Col Potter years 4 - 11) he samples one of Potter's up at the Helicopter pad and throws up behind a stack of crates. I won't give away the specific episodes these 2 Radar O'Reilly cigar smoking incidents occur in, but let you discover them yourselves. Love this show! I rank it #1 of out of all the TV sitcoms ever made in the US. At 2, 3, 4, 5 (in my opinion and in no particular order): Barney Miller; Cheers; The Honeymooners; All in the Family.
9 Becky Slater from Princeton Ontario: I have loved Mash for a very long time and have never missed an episode ! I love the older episodes more because Trapper John made the show . Since he left the show it has'nt been the same since . I do have to say it is the best show around ! If you want a good laugh Mash is the best show to watch ! I hope they never take it off the air !
8 Russ from loveland: This is truly the greatest show in the world it combines death and tragedy with comedy. Comedy is always the best way to get through hard ships.
7 sylvia wharton from newcastle/tyne england: My favourite is when 'radar' and 'hawkeye' cross swords over hawkeye's behaviour following radar being wounded and hawkeye getting drunk and unable to carry out his duties.
6 Kyle Shroyer from Beeville, Texas: M*A*S*H* IS the BEST show EVER!! I am only 18 years old and I have been watching MASH for 5 years now...I LOVE IT!!
5 Gali Ramirez from California: I am a great fan of this wonderful TV show. I wish I could have been there watching this wonderful crew put together a show to be enjoyed for generations to come. I can't help but wonder whatever happened to some of the cast. I think naughty Capt. Pierce is very handsome.
4 Holly from Caucasus: M*A*S*H* ran from 1972-1983. That show is old. It is thirty-three years old.
3 Sarah from Isle of man: Classic comedy. Fantastic!
2 katie from loughborough: The best show eva. hawkeye n trapper were really funny together and i think it is a shame that Wayne Rogers decided to leave the show so early on.
