13 Carole from United States: Hello,
I just discovered this marvalous series, but I have one problem. I was watching the one about the rapiest. What Happen, I can't get which series it continues on. If any one knows the story line, please tell me and also Judith was pregnant, what did they have and what happen to Jane? Who raped her? So many unanswered questions. It really pisses me off that the stupid people who tried to recreate this series, bloody hell what were they thinking. Why did he quit the series?
Thank you for any information you can give me.
Sincerely,
A True Native American Indian.
Carole
12 glen from manchester uk: loved Cracker best show ever to hit the tv robbie coltrane, geraldine somerville, lorcan cranitch and all the cracker actors made this a very special show to watch thanks jimmy mcgovern also for bringing a great show to the tv
11 Dawn Pittsford from Puyallup, WA USA: I just finished the last dvd in the 2nd season series. I am deeply, deeply in lust with Fitz. I wish Coltrane had never quit making these fantastic shows. I will have to lust in my dreams....
10 Jennie Paulson from Sweden: I love the whole "To say I love episode" I think itīs a beutiful and very human story and the actors are realy speldid! And also I think a very strong moment is when D.C.I. Bilborough lies in Albies apartment and he struggles for his life because of the gunshot!
9 C Lin from Hong Kong: I have loved Cracker and Robbie Coltrane for years, rewatching the tapes many times. I just introduced them to my 19-year-old cousin from NY, telling her that I can't think of any American-made comparisons for the quality of the writing (so literate and so full of allusions to learned things) and the grittiness of the plots.
My favorite scenes and lines: Fitz suggesting to Beck to get a thesaurus (after his monotonous repetition of his sole comment "bollocks" to everything Fitz says).
And the scene where Fitz reveals to his wife how he felt when he had the affair with Penhaligon. "Was I flattered?".....
Ah, the good old days. (the later Crackers just didn't have the same quality plot and dialogue).
8 harrymarway from Goodmayes Ilford: robbie is one of the finest comedy/drama actors and the this series is excellent. the storylines are fascinating and can be watched again and again..
7 Faith from Southampton: I have just bought the complete collection and am really looking forward to watching them again and again. For a big guy Cracker is incredibly sexy and it's hard not to full in lust with him! When he is seen at rock bottom in one episode it made me just want to pick him up and cuddle him better.
6 Erica Heller from New York City: Hello,
Recently re-watched all of "Cracker" that's available over here on VHS. My father was Joseph Heller, author of "Catch 22" and I was astonished to see him and it referred to in the series time and time again. (Fitting actually, because my father was a huge "Cracker" fan.)
5 William Stevenson from Seattle: Completley addictive--Robbie Coltrane owns the role.
4 Marje from Heysham: I wept buckets when Bilborough was killed by Albie, that was some episode. Watching it again you know it`s going to happen but I still blub. Sadly missed series.
3 Jason Jeandron from New Brunswick, Canada: The raw realism of the show is exceptional. The characters are believable and the show's grittiness leaves one wanting more.
2 Suzanne Chiles from Portland, Oregon US: Robbie Coltrane is brilliant, but the ensemble cast work is also extraordinary. Cracker is in the very top echelon of writing and acting, no matter what the medium.
1 Paul Bennett from Burton: The characters are so good in Cracker, and are ideal for the characters they protray, The stories are excellent, and thrilling, and keep me glued to my seat.
