130 Amy from Manchester: The mike, Linda and mark live triangle !
129 jackie from doncaster: when bet
put her dress
on back to front
128 LizzieB from Sandy Camp.Qld: Being English I grew up with Coronation St. Since living in Queensland I was not able to watch it anymore as we did not have cable TV. Now that we have digital channels I can enjoy the programme on 7TWO. Unfortunately , it is only on for 30mins M-F and it is 2002 episodes, I do wish that the TV Channel would consider showing each episode for 1hour each day to enable us to catch up with what has happened in the Street over the years.
Thank you to the UK for a fabulous programme and thank you to 7TWO for showing it.
127 Norma from West Yorkshire: I have watched it from the very start, some great writing both comic and tragic and also great acting and comic timing. My memory goes nack to black and white when the baliffs came for Elsie Tanners furniture Martha Longhurst said "they cant take your bed or the tools of your trade" after just the right pause for timing Ena Sharples said "aye well in her case its the same thing" Sorry younger viewers who wonder what i'm on about and god bless Tony Warren for beginning these many years of delightful well timed northern humour.
126 Scot from Glasgow: The scene where Jack sang to Vera after he'd found her dead had me sobbing nearly as much as the scene where Des died. Denise Welch was fantastic in that scene - and is now unfortunately in the process of splitting from her husband Tim Healy, Denise and Tim - our thoughts are with you both.
125 Scot from Glasgow: How moving was the episode when Vera died in her chair last week! I cried non - stop right through the episodes the day after. If Bill Tarmey doesn't win the Best Performance award this year there's no justice! Bill acts everybody else off the screen!
124 melissa from Newcastle: Brian Capron on corrie was the best!!!i love his acting!!
123 doug beal from adelaide australia: My favoutite character in corrie st is Hilda Ogden, I remember when her and Stan went on their second honeymoon(1977?), also Stan as a wrestler.
122 Rose Kassiram from Toronto, Canada: I think the actress who played Katy Harris gave an award winning performance after the murder of her father, Tommy.
121 Pam from Canada: I am a senior citizen now, but was a newly married girl when Corri started, I lived in England then, and never missed a show. My two kids were both born on Corrie nights and I waited until after the show to go to the maternity hospital to give birth, That is a dedicated fan. I still watch the show and enjoy it as much as ever.
120 jeff pickard from tacoma. washington.usa: my first memory of coronation street, was being allowed to stay up until 7:30 to watch it. When i was a kid i did get to meet Peter Adamson (Len Fairclough). I live in the US now, but still watch on cbc Canada whenever I can.
119 Allen Forster from Cornwall GB: Katie Ford (Tracy Barlow) most sexiest lady ever to appear on Corrie. Enough said.
Allen Forster
118 Jake Moore from: Bet Lynch was one of their best on Coronation Street it hasn't been the same since she and rest of old cast left it's still okay but it was better then.
117 Darwood from Winchester: Let's be honest Coronation Street isn't what it used to be. It's lost its ability to create character. The older stars are still wonderful, Ken, Mike, Rita, Jack and so on but where are your Bet's and Reg's? It's just not the same.
116 Sian Wiggs from Woodford Green, Essex: I enjoyed watching episodes with Nick Tilsey after he returned two years ago with his nicer new haircut. He's very goodlooking. I wish he would return to Corrie in future so we could see more of him. One of my favourite moments was last Boxing Day when Karen McDonald left the street. I hated her character but Suranne Jones is a wonderful actress though and Iam glad she won the award for best actress in the National Television Awards and The British Soap Awards.
115 Faye from Manchester: I love Corrie, it is the best soap on TV!!! My favourite actor is Steve McDonald, and I met him at Ice Skating at Altrincham 16 years ago!!
114 Michael Scott from Ottawa, Canada: The "waterbed" fiasco staring Reg Holdsworth and Maureen. When the waterbed leaked and they were caught.
113 zeke from Manchester: i liked it when richard hillman killed maxine and patricia and drove the platt family in the canal
112 eileen from ireland: I think coronation street is the funniest soap on tv. it never fails to amuse me, its hilarious, especially vera and jack duckworth. steve and karen are my favourite couple. karen is funny in an evil kind of way.
111 Kate from Shropshire: I just think that Tina O'Brien is fanastic, she is the msot amazing person ever! if i ever met you it would be a dream come true, she just does everything with such control and bring such emotion to the soap! Thankyou for being an inspiration to me sarah, you have played a big big part in who i am today even though you dont have the foggiest idea who i am i guess i could be a big craze weirdo person but im not hehe i just think you are a true star and i look up to! I hope all is well in coronation street land, Lots of love, me xxxx
110 Neil Robinson from Scunthorpe: my best episode of this soap was when sally webster had her first child on christmas day in the back of the car on a back street
109 Sue from Pefferlaw, On. Canadas: I have been reading many of the favourite episodes and charactors, but no-one has mentioned BETT! I think she was a huge contributor to the show and was worried how it could continue without her...not disappointed, but really enjoy it when she does guest visits! Don't forget Dev - my girlfriend loves him. Coro has become a ritual for my mom and I. She is elderly and lives alone...Coro brings us together every day as I always make it a point to visit her when it's on so we can watch it together - She's watches since the 1st show and I haven't missed it for 25 years!! Sue
108 James Timpson from Aberdeen: My favourite character of all time was Alec Gilroy played by Roy Barraclough. He's been in so many great shows too - like Rising Damp, George and Mildred, Les Dawson etc.
Also, Chris Quentin married Leeza Gibbons - but they divorced.
107 mary from Alberta Canada: Matthew like you I am a great fan of Johnny Briggs, I have always liked him as Mike, he is a darn good actor.
106 Yvonne Betts from London, Ontario Canada: I have been a loyal fan for around 25 years, and there is not a day goes by that I don't watch. It is just too bad that Canada is so far behind England in the series. We are approximately six months behind. Best Soap I have ever watched!!!!!!
105 Peter Wheeler from Oxfordshire: Like all soaps, there are highs and lows (high at the moment!), but the years of the Ogdens will probably never be surpassed.
104 Catherine Rathbone from Hull: I loved the whole Richard Hillman story - very well acted, so theatrical! I will never forget the night he tried to drown the whole family - I was in labour watching it at the hospital with my husband and midwife!!! Norris, Rita & co getting stoned in the cafe on Vera's cake & the kabin seance were classic corrie also!
103 Matthew from Somerset in England: Coronation Street is brilliant. I try to watch every episode when I can. My favourite character is Mike Baldwin played b Johnny Briggs. He is brilliant especially with Amanda Barrie as Alma, William Roache as Ken Barlow, Deirdre played by Anne Kirkbride. Rita is also brilliant played by the wonderful Barbara Knox.
102 kelly Smyth from midlands: My favourite moment in corrie history is when Gail found out that richard was the steet's murderer. The look on her face and the evil in his was absolutely priceless.
101 Jacinda Tutbury from Timaru New Zealand: I think coronation is GREAT.
It is such a good programme to watch.
100 CHARLES JOHNSON from LANCASHIRE: I think the street is getting too serious now, it is missing story lines like Reg chasing Maureen, the gaupy Raquel (who would have guessed that Sarah Lancashire would go on to become one of the highest paid actresses in Britain), and the superb Thelma Barlow as Mavis, the only 3 who come out with something funny now are Rita, Norris and Les.
99 Kevin from New Zealand Taumarunui: Ive watched coronation street for a long time now too long that I can remember I've liked all the episodes but my fravorite one was when Richard Hillman was on the show and my fravorite part when he was on was when he tried to blame Aiden Critchley for killing Maxine and Emily. Hes my favourite actor and all ways will be you cant get anyone better than him!!
98 becca from england manchester: my favourite coronation street memory was when tommy harris and martin had that fight and tommy pushed martin intoo yhe fence and martin broke it so later on tommy says to angie "im gonna fix the fence before the neighbours get back" but the funny thing was that the whole of the side of that fence was compleately broke it still makes me laugh now
97 Jacinda Tutbury from Timaru New Zealand: My favourite moment on coronation street was when Richard drove his family into the Canel.
96 Georgina woollacott from Sussex: Hi,
im a huge corrie fan and the reason i am is because Todd and Karl please will u try to convince Todd to stay in Corrie? It would be a huge loss to the show and Karl Foster is the Fittest Guy alive Wiv Todd very close lol.
thank you -x-
95 Naomi Pickett from Newfoundland,Canada: I've always loved Coronation Street and have watched it for at least 30 years.I think my favorite episode was when Jack and Vera Duckworth won the horse race money.Coronation Street is so ordinary that we can relate and feel joy for the underdog finally coming out on top.
94 Bill Lefever from New Zealand: I have been having a dispute with my wife. I said that Johnny Briggs married Leeza Gibbon. Could you tell me if I am right or wrong? If I am wrong, who was it from Coro. Street who married her?. regards, Bill.
93 annemarie walsh from Newcastle West, Ireland: The slagging match between Tracey and Hailey in the pub was great to watch and the comments were ecstatic. If I had to pick a favourite character it would be Candise because she is afraid of no one and she puts great effort into her acting. Tracey should give the baby to someone who really wants it and stop trying to win Steve over - it will never happen as he is in love with the monster Karen.
92 jessica from laurey: The episodes with Tracy Barlow and the croppers have been fab, great acting from Tracy Ford my fave actress - keep it up.
Glad Amy's finally back with her mother It gave me the creeps seeing her with the Creepy Croppers.
Can't wait to see their faces when they realise they've got no claim over the baby. They tried to kidnapp a baby once - what where they thinking?
91 Emma from England: My fave character is Tracy Barlow, Kate Ford is fab! Go Girl!!!
90 steve Layland from willenhall nr Wolverhampton: It is a real pleasure to watch
some fine acting from Suranne Jones, Sally Linsey, Tina O'Brien and the fantastic Kate Ford. Simon Gregson is great playing Steve, teamed up with Suranne as Karen is a delight to watch.
Thankyou Cast for all your hard work!
steve
89 Steve Garrett from Deal Kent: The wedding of Steve and Karen brought a tear to my eye. I was deeply moved by it all. I have watched the show for many a year.
88 Sylvia Sontag from Lincolnshire: I read in the paper today that the makers of Corrie were thinking of including some actors with London accents. Well, I am from London originally and I hate the accent. I never watch that dreary programme East Enders and if they follow the same lines, then it's goodbye from me. There is already some lowlife in the programme, why recruit more?
87 Jo from bexleyheath: Victoria Nugent - you're so wrong! Chesney should have been pulverised by Rita!
86 karen tierney from hertfordshire: I feel I must tell you how upset I am at what is happening to Rita. Cilla should be ashamed of herself and what Rita said in the pub to Cilla was the right thing to do, people like Cilla need to be told and stood up to. Rita only said some home truths. Rita is one of the nicest people in coronation street and deserves respect. The police also need to know that Rita is being blackmailed, which is a serious offence, and the police need to charge Cilla. Keep it together Rita - don't let the likes of her get away with it. Like you said, the truth will come out. All the best karen...
85 victoria nugent from leicester: I think that Cilla is doing the right thing by taking Rita Sullivan to court for the assult on Chesney Brown. She should be taking Chesney to Florida.
84 Mr Daniel Gold from Cheshire: Just wanted to say, that having been in the emergency services and also having watched Coronation Street regularly, I am always interested that certain morals are kept. I am disgusted with the ending of the episode shown on 7/1/04 where the grandmother was on the church roof with Sarah's daughter. When Emily finally coaxed them down off the roof and the grandmother was taken away in the police car. I was extremely concerned that there was no apparent care and consideration taken to the welfare of Emily, Sarah and her daughter other than there was a lift for the immediate family.
Daniel
83 Julie from Denny,Scotland: When Richard drived Gayle,Sarah,David and Bethany into the cannal. Also the one when Tracy told steve he was the dad of her unborn child.
82 Yvonne Harper from Nuneaton: My favorite moment from the Street is when Mavis and Derek were getting married for the first time. As neither party had turned up, it was left to Alf to inform the rest of the congregation that the wedding was off. As he walked down the aisle, Vera came out with "Daft beggers forgot Bride", a line that still makes me laugh out loud>
81 Julie Neale from Leeds, UK: I think its all good, but if I were to say which was the best episode, I'd have to say the live one shown in December 2000. The special 40th Anniversay one.
80 Caroline Martin from London: I would like info on William Russell who played Ted Sullivan
79 Joanna Vanlint from Canada: Please could you tell me how to find information on touring the Coronation Street set in Manchester. Thanks very much!
78 Rosie from London: I am doing research on Coronation Street and was wondering what gay characters have there been in the soap? What ethnic characters have there been, are there any black characters in the soap at present? It is for Media coursework and I would be really greatful for a reply.
77 Connie Gould from Birmingham , UK: Leanne Battersby and Sarah Louise Platt are my favorite characters .
76 Robin Spillane from New Zealand: I've been watching "The Street" for over 40 years. It's still the only series that I watch faithfully. My favourite character of all was Denis Tanner.I loved the humour of Stan. Hilda and Eddie Yates.Even though it is so different now I still can't bear to miss it.
75 c magee from Canada: It is hard to pick just one favorite moment of Coronation Street. When you think you have one, the writers dream up another. We do love the show. We do miss Desi though. His antics kept us laughing. Alos Derrick and Mavis, the list will go on but i will stop for now.
74 June Linnell from Oulton Broad, Lowestoft: I still love Corrie. One of the things which makes me smile about the series is wherever did the character of Ena Sharples come from? My own grandmother who was called Mary Ellen was the spitting image of Ena Sharples. The same type of coat and hairnet, and size/height. As my family came from Manchester, could they have found someone to be this character? Great show. far better than the Southern Soap!
73 sheila bent. from warrington.: hey! leave ashley alone!he is terific!so is tracey, what an actress that girl is.which is more than I can say about katy harris! this girl just doesn't act,and seeing her and martin makes me cringe,he deserves better.angela and tommy? what a team!and fred? now there's another great team, him and ashley!oh! and I just love the way sally is turning out, you sure know somethings brewing with this plot!another great young man is little david platt,I think this fella will go far!but I do wish they would get shut of gail! what with her nodding head and batting eyes, it's hard to take seriously..
72 sheila bent from warrington: I am a lifelong fan of corrie, but my most favourite has to be classic corrie! my alltime moment? hilda saying to stan, "woman stanley, woman!
after kissing her while they were in the hotel.
71 Tomlinson. L. from Sheffield: I am not suprised to learn that coronation st, lost out to Eastenders. I have watched the street since it began and have missed going out for meals in order to watch the street.
It is time they got rid of some actors/actresses who are just boring. For instant: Ashley and the nanny. If that is acting I'm deaf. Do the street a favor and either get writers who deliver or better actors.
The street's best top actors in my opinion are:
1. Karen Macdonald
2. Steve "
3. Vera
4. Martin's Girlfriend and her dad.
Get rid of the dross
Don't let us switch stations
Lynn Tomlinson
70 Andy Mends from Luton: I am trying to find a photograph or any detail relating to a friend of mine, Martin Walker who played a paperboy in the series in the late 1980's. I don't know his stage name other than it was Martin something. Can anyone help?
Thanks
69 Corie Stern from Seattle: Favorite Scene is the current
Richard Hillman/Gail's family
kidnapping which we currently
get years later over here.
Great acting! Best Wishes!
68 Ann Marie Lynch from Liverpool: I have been watching Corrie since I was a kid and my favourite storyline is the Richard Hillman storyline, I was gripped for months and months with that storyline.
I think Tommy is going way over the top since he knows about Martin and Katy, I mean Katy is over the age of consent and she is now 16 so she is at the legal age.
She can join the armed foces, she can join the army and the RAF and she can even buy cigarettes in a shop and she can play the National Lottery.
Locking Katy in the house is way over the top, either Tommy accepts it or he doesn't. If he accepts it fine, then if he doesn't then that's his problem.
He is a pyschotic bully, when Martin and Katy told Tommy about each other it was like telling a husband and that Katy was the wife and she was having an affair with Martin.
I don't know how Angela has stayed married to him for all these years, but if he was my husband I'd leave a pyschotic bully like him.
He is like Trevor from Eastenders a control freak.
If I was Angela I'd leave him and divorce him no matter how you'd think that you'll end up on your own it's got to be better to be married to that pyschotic bully.
Locking Katy in the house won't achieve anything it'll just make her be with Martin all the more.
67 Connie Gould from Birmingham: My favourite moment on Coronation Street , was when Richard Hillman drove
Gail ( Helen Worth ) , Sarah
( Tina O Brien ) David
( James P Shepherd ) and Bethany , into the canal .
66 jamie hillman from uk: hi my name is jamie when will richard hillman appear on coronation street on your channel
65 michael cleary from australia: i am originally from liverpool uk, and i am angry because every 10 years or so they decide to start showing corrie, you start geting into it and then it disappears.
64 Daniel Veitch from Stubbington: Don Brennan was my favorute person in Coronation Street and I remember his last ever episode where he drove Alma's car into the viaduct and died in a fireball. It was very good ana I'd like to see it again.
63 Debra Cassar from Hull: So many memories from the 70's. Two stick out - Bet Lynch borrowing a dress from Annie Walker and wearing it back to front! & Eddie Yeats selling Annie a carpet with her initials AW on it. Hilda took great delight in telling Annie that it was actualy from the bingo hall and that AW were the initials of the bingo!
62 Karen Fudge from Bournemouth: It has to be The Hillman incident
61 Kathy Brown from Red Deer, Alberta: I loved the story line between Deirdrie and John Lindsay as well, it was very well done. I also like the present storyline with Richard Hillman, especially his scenes with Audrey Roberts. I never realized how good an actress she is until lately. I love her and Archie together as well.
60 Carol from Florida: Favorite memories:
When I could watch Coronation Street on TV, in Florida!!!!
Meeting Roy Barraclough!!!

richard rturned to the street
the car was in the water.
58 Chris Colloby from South Staffs.: I liked the bit where Emily, Geoffrey, Toyah and Roy saved the Red Rec by finding some ancient site on it. Pity it wasn`t gone into a bit more. Can we have a ghost story sometime please in one of the old Victorian houses perhaps.
57 mary gair from canada: There are so many episodes that have been really great so it is a problem to say which one would be my favorite, I like Mike and Audrey, not too many of the younger ones, only a few of them can really act.
56 mary gair from red deer canada: I have watched 'Corrie' since practically the beginning, I loved it when the Ogdens's were in it.
Mary
55 Pam from Perth Western Australia: I loved it when Hilda Ogden always referred to her wall mural as "Me Muriel".
54 michelle from belfast: i love the episode one christmas where jack and vera baracade themselves upstairs in the rovers because alec gilroy wants them out and all the residents are passing them food and stuff through the window that was such a laugh
53 david long from Dublin: My favourite moment was when Don Brennan tried to kill Mike but ended up smashing his car into the wall at the end of the Street. The smoke stains can still be seen today
52 Steven Mann from Glenrothes, Fife, Scotland: My fave moment from corrie is an episode from late 70's
one where gail and suzy are claning out Elsie Tanner's Chimney with a brick but they put it down the Ogdans by misstake and Ogdans living room is full all dirty.
I think thats nost funnest moment ever.
51 mvertogen from new zealand: we would like to know if Richard ends up killing Audrey and Emily? And our favourite episode was when mike married linda and mark told his dad about his affair with linda!!!
50 syephen from derby: i liked the 1 where fred gee had taken bet and betty in car and it goes in the lake
49 gmakay from new zealand: i would love to know when richard gets caught, atthe moment archie and audrey are in gails house searching through richards briefcase for any evidence
48 Sonia Tomyn from Niagara Falls,On. Can.: I don't have a favourite Moment. I just love the show. I watch it every week. The characters are down to earth and quirky. I especially like it when the actors come to Toronto with the British show. It's nice to meet them in person.
47 sally black from ontario, canada: Des Barnes [ Phillip Middlemiss ]was one of my favourite characters and just about any scene he was in, was just SUPER!! The very beginning of his moving into the Coronation Street dailies, were so funny and joyful--he and Steph, his wife, were simply refreshing and a joy to watch!! Miss Des Barnes very much and would be nice to have a twin brother turn up!!
46 Jo Carter from Sidcup, Kent: I love classic Corrie! It's brilliant to watch it in tandem with the newer stuff! Great drama, well acted, long may it continue!
45 Katy from Horsham: I love Brian Capron!!!!!!!The double episode where he confessed all 2 Gail was brill - really good acting - and that episode where he tied the family up in the car and drove them all in2 the canal was so brilliant - I wish I had taped it!!!
44 Lisa Dunlop from northern ireland: i really loved brian caprons last episode in coronation street as richard hillman when gail went to escape him to the front door he draged gail back into the livingroom i also liked the bit where he had the family tied up in the car and playing the song, you and me always, and saying i love you to all his family then driving into the canal it was a brilliant episode
43 natalie from britain: when sally found out about ken
42 Lisa Dunlop from Northern Ireland: i cant believe the Richard Hillman storyline is finally over i really miss Brian capron already i hope he will be back on tv again it will be weird not having Richard in the street anymore its a pity he had to drown but brian wanted to leave good luck for brian in the future
41 Adrian Johnson from Halifax: i just finished watching "Killer Corrie, the finale"(12/3/03). I loved every second. The ending had me howling with laughter as I realised that the producers were going to keep everyone in suspense regarding the fate of Gail,Sarah,David and Bethany. This is the best Corrie has ever been. The end sequence in tonights episode was brilliantly filmed as the car sank into the murky water.Cant wait to see the next episode.A big thanks to the writers, producers and actors for the gripping storyline thats kept the whole nation on the edge of their seats for months.
40 JEFF JACOBS from BLOOMFIELD,CONNECTICUT U.S.A.: Wish I could view the early segments of Corrie Street. Very unfortunatly The Street is just not available for viewing in North America. 36 years since I left England, due to a family member in Leeds who tapes segments to mail. On arrival I convert the tape to American standard to view. E for effort and a financial investment in postage and conversion equipment allows my wife and I to still enjoy Corrie St. Do not take it for granted when you switch the TV on.
39 Pritthijit Datta from Teesside: One of my favourite episodes in Coronation Street has to be the recent storyline featuring evil Richard confessing to Gail about his crimes. That was an exciting episode to watch finding out how Gail would react. I am sad to see Brain Capron leave the street after 2 year playing this evil conman.
38 Clare Bacon from Tyne & Wear: The best moment on on corrie was Monday 24th Feb 03 when gail found out everything about her hubby Richard and that he had to spill the beans to his wife about the hole murders.
37 Karen from Northern Ireland: Isn't Brian Capron brilliant? I'm totally in love with Richard Hillman, killer or not. I'll really miss him: both his pure sexiness and thrilling storylines made Corrie worth watching. I'll be taoping the last epidodes. Here's hoping gorgeous Brian will be back on our screens very soon! I just love him!
36 Lisa Dunlop from Northern ireland: i'm really sad that Brian capron is leaving coronation street he has been brilliant as Richard Hillman and also the double episode of him and gail was Brilliant i couldn't believe it when gail slaped his face, all the time hes been in coronation street i've never seen him hit until monday nights episode i think Brians a lovely looking man i'm sorry to see him go.
35 pgh from: Trick & Gail head to head! Brillinat. Pity he didn't bump her off though. And David, the anti-christ. And Audrey whilst he's at it, not forgetting Ashley, oh please, please dispose of him before you leave Richard!
34 Karen from West Yorkshire: I think Brian Capron is a fantastic actor. He is also good looking and gorgeous. Really sad to know that the end is nigh and he will be leaving Corrie. The soap will not be the same without him.
33 Caroline from Nottingham: I still love Killman Hillman even though he's a murderous villian! Brian Capron is an absolute dish - I know he will get his come-uppence in the Street but I wish he could stay forever! Vivre Tricky Dicky!
32 Gemma from Norfolk: I absolutely adore Brian Capron who plays Richard Hillman. I think hes a brilliant actor and is much too gorgeous to play a murderer!!! I will be so gutted when he leaves Corrie and I hope to see him in many more TV programmes in the future. I love him!

25 rona Grieve from dunfermline Scotland: i just wanted to tell you all richard capron turned our lights on and i met him he rocks i got a signed piccie he is lovely if you dont know who he is then it is richard hillman!!!!!
24 bella goth from sim city: i like richard hillman he his my favourite bad guy

22 Sam McNamara from Portsmouth: Corrie is Excellent
21 Rose Kassiram from Toronto, Ontario: I have many favourites, but I will have to say that one of them is the episode where Zoe kidnapped Morgan, Fiona's baby and then jumped into the canal.
20 Lisa Dunlop from Northern Ireland: my favorite episode of coronation street is where Richard Hillman was hiding in Audreys food cupboard he even listened to their conversation i like the bit where Gail and Audrey where having tea and Gail was trying to find the biscuits in which Richard was hiding in a biscuit cupboard i like the best bit where he sneaks out of the cupboard and goes outside and says cut me out of the photographs, will you Audrey we,ll see who has the last laugh we,ll see it was great Brian is so Good at being Richard.
19 Lisa Dunlop from Northern Ireland: The coronation street episode of the richard and gail wedding there's a scene where richard goes over to emma watts at the dance floor and puts his hands around her neck just for a laugh because emma give him a radio message to wish him good luck it was weird because he's a killer and has killed you think he was going to kill emma at the wedding but he's a good actor.
18 Sue from Ireland: Hi does anyone out there remember Eddie Yeats started off as a chancer but soon warmed to the locals. I wonder if Les Battersby will ever get that popular amongst his neighbours.
17 Ann Marie Lynch from Liverpool: Richard Hillman has to be the best soap baddie for a long time and he is also the Corrie's real baddie since Alan Bradley and he is now about to strike again at Christmas I think it'll be Ade Critchley that'll be Richard's next victim.
As soon as Gail realises that she is married to a pyscho killer and that Richard isn't the man he seems the better.
16 Karen Withers from Fife, Scotland: I have been watching Corrie since about 1976 - obviously there have been so many memorable moments. One of my favourites has to be when Emily Bishop was campaigning with eco-warrior newphew, Spider, up in a tree at the Red Rec!
15 Lisa Dunlop from Northern Ireland: i like the episode of coronation street where Richard hillman had to sell his car.and tells gail its been stolen and also when they have a row about not believing him i like the end where richard is about to tell gail the truth about his past. then they start kissing i thought it was romantic.
14 Lisa Dunlop from Northern Ireland: My favorite character of coronation street is Lovely Richard Hillman played by Brian Capron. He's a lovely looking man and he can be funny sometimes. I love the laughs he and Gail have and I also love their kissing scenes. I think Brian capron is lovely.
13 Bryan Davies from New Zealand: My two best moments were first sharing a taxi with our PAT (Mrs Tanner] on the night we left to come to New Zealand in 1971. Then seeing her in Auckland with Len and she rememberd our night in the taxi. Two great actors we miss them.
12 Patricia Dempsey from Southampton, UK: Rita is my favourite, so I enjoy all the dramatic storylines Barbara Knox was given. It's always been such a great show, there's far too many favourite moments down the 25 years I've watched regularly. But thanks for screening the classic ones.
11 Lisa Dunlop from Northern Ireland: My favorite funny moment of Coronation Street is when Richard Hillman made a funny face when he said to Gail about not letting ade go to they're wedding. I love the bit where he says with ade, without ade, and that face he makes was funny. Richard's class!
10 Steven Wright from Leeds: My favourite moment of Coronation Street was when Adam Rickett left. Then he came back to annoy the nation with his singing career which predictably failed because it was almost as bad as his acting (if you can call it that).
Now he's back on Corrie, aah!!
Sunday 18th August was memorable though when he was shouting at Maria's window. Who allowed that to be broadcast? Priceless comedy!!
9 Frances Freeman/Gerard Troy from Ireland: This was an episode in either 1990/1992, in which Alf Roberts was dragged by Audrey, Martin and Gail. At the end of the episode Alf was complaining and Audrey told him to shut-up and get up on the floor and have a dance. So in the end scene of the episode, Alf is on the floor wearing a shirt, tie and braces swinging his hands back and forth above his head, giving it loads. This is known as the Alf Roberts dance, we would like to what was the disco tune he was dancing to if it is possible, Thank You.
8 Lisa Dunlop from co,Armagh Northen Ireland: my favorite moment of coronation street is when Richard and Gail first got together it was a Lovely scene, that she had finally met someone nice I Loved that episode
7 Patricia Dempsey from Southampton: I can't remember when I first saw The Street, but my earliest memory is Len and Rita's wedding when I was 7. Rita became a favourite of mine over the years, and she still is. The show's lost its way a bit in recent times, but I still love it and am glad its still going. I can't imagine life without it! Happy (early) 42nd birthday Corrie!
6 nicola rose from norwich: I enjoyed the episode when Alan Bradley got ran over by the tram
5 jean wrigt from pennsylvannia us: I think the most hilarious episode was when Reg Holdsworths water bed leaked everywhere
4 RONNIE from TIDWORTH: Stan and Hildas missing washing and Emilys bigamist husband Arnold Swaine.
3 calvin saxton from mansfield: It is the best it has good storylines and it is funny.
2 Bryan Murphy from Hull: It's just classic British Drama, with plenty of comedy and great characters.
1 Donna Verden from London: Because it has real empathy with it's character, it does not type-cast people. For instance, one minute Dierdre is a pathetic old woman, the next she is strong. I am sure many people have been in Sally's position. The show has humour, while covering radical situations. The portrayal of a teenage mother is both real and accurate. Far above any other soap on the box.
