5 Nelwyn from New Orleans LA USA: The British have a way with comedy unequaled in the world! Why hasn't the Three Up Series ever been completed? I keep hoping it will become available before I go. I'm 81. Better hurry or I'll miss it!

3 Gideon Rose from Croydon , Surrey: Your right Sue (From Liverpool)...80s comedies did have a theme "Where it was more about relationships than about comedy, although there were some really good comedy moments. It was subtle in the same way as 'Just Good Friends' which is also about that on screen chemistry between two characters".....That's what makes 80s comedies superior to today's sitcoms which are very two dimentional , and contain no subtle , intelligent characterisations...Spot on Sue.
2 Sue from Liverpool: Some of the eighties comedies had a theme where it was more about relationships than about comedy, although there were some really good comedy moments. It was subtle in the same way as 'Just Good Friends' which is also about that on screen chemistry between two characters. Michael Elphick had a rough kind of charm!
