26 Mari from Finland: I love The Upper Hand!Charlie and Caroline still are my all-time favourite tv sweethearts and they had just amazing chemistry together. And Honor Blackman was perfect as Laura(she often had the most funniest lines.) Unfortunately, this was last in TV here in Finland in 1995 and DVD's aren't available either, but I've been watching this from YouTube. It's still fun, sweet and romantic.
25 Georgina from Leeds England: We need shows like this back on. Yes it was cheesy but it gave people hope and an idea of what life could be like with family. Now everything is miserable including music. I would love to see diana back on screen with joe it was amazing chemistry. Makes me sad that both had a pretty hard time after the show with their personal lives but I hope they're happy now. Xx
24 Martin Carr from Hatfield, Herts: I love the programme so much I got all 96 episodes of the show on DVD.
23 Jane from Wales: I loved this show from the very first episode. There were a lot of good sitcoms in the 90's, but this for me was by far the best. I watched every single episode and it is one of my all time favourite shows. I'm glad it has finally been released on dvd! Charlie and Caroline make a great couple and their happy ending is perfect. I wish there were more shows like this - wholesome entertainment that is upbeat, funny and romantic.
22 vera from london: We have just found out that it is back on tv with the paramount comedy2 channel on November 22 & 23 2008 and all day on Jan 03 2009 and will start a rerun on the same channel from January 5th 2009 twice a day. Can`t wait
21 Clare Waddingham from Manchester: This show is LEGEND. I loved it the first time round, and love it even more now. It's ridiculously cheesy, but FAB!
20 vera from london: My old man will not miss an episode of the upper hand and i don`t blame him.I am wondering if it is available on dvd so that he can have it on all the time, also does anybody know what the stars are doing today, are they working in the london area.
19 Mandy from yorkshire: Why are Paramount Comedy 2 not showing Series 7? They have aired the Wedding at the end of Series 6 and then moved to Series 1. Can Christopher Walker enlighten us?
18 vicky gittins from conwall: i love the upper hand i watched it all the time and i would love it to be brought out on dvd.
17 sandra howard from norwich: I think they should release it on dvd the complete series i absolutely loved it.
16 Amanda Potter from Greenock, Scotland: I love "The Upper Hand" Its just so funny. I wasnt even born when they started but i now watch them every evening at 5:50 after achool. Honor Blackman is fantastic as the role Laura, but they all equally played their parts well! Ive been trying every website to try and buy them but cant find them anywhere! Ive never seen the 7th series and after The Wedding on Paramount Comedy 2 I thought the 7th series was on but unfortunately it wasnt:(
15 Louise Calvert from Bradford, England: I absolutely love the Upper Hand. I watched it as a teenager when it was first aired and now absolutely love the repeats on Paramount Comedy. It brings back memories of my teenage years.
The chemistry between Charlie and Caroline is great and I love Laura, her attempts to get them together are priceless.
My favourite episode is the one where they celebrate their first anniversary and caroline cooks a meal. Poor charlie ends up in hospital after his appendix bursts and he tells caroline he loves her when he is wheeled into theatre. I think its classic.
14 Lynsey Moore from Paisley, Scotland: i love the upper hand! i remember watching it when it was on originally (i was 9 when it started)and loved it then, but over the years i had forgotten about it until i started watching it again on paramount comedy. i now have every episode on dvd and will never forget about it again! lol! the cast were fantastic and the way they brought their characters to life was fab! the yummy joe mcgann, the delicious diana weston, the legend that is honor blackman, coupled with "cosy" scripts - perfect! :D
13 Russ from North Wales: I liked the music!
12 neil barton from bolton-le-sands, england: "The Upper Hand" one of the best sitcoms on TV, well written (thats because it used so many different writers pitching ideas, like they do in America), the whole cast where fantastic, and i have had the greatest oppertunity of meeting Kellie Bright, who is still working on TV and stage, a really lovely lady and a brilliant actress.
11 Catherine Smith from Peterborough: I enjoyed today's episode very much when Charlie has his mid life crisis after his friend dies and decides to take the family on a trekking holiday. He drops Caroline's engagement ring in her dinner and she turns around to see Charlie with his fingers in her dinner...Classic.
10 Catherine Smith from Peterborough: I keep on missing the very first episodes when Charlie first comes to live with Caroline. Does anyone have any idea where I can get them from?
9 Dorit Adams from England: Im a fan of The Upper Hand!

8 Chaki Kalala from Zambia: I enjoyed watching the Upper Hand when I was very young and my family and I were living in England. My favorite character is Jo (and I love Kellie). I got most of the episodes on tape and I watch them often - still love it. The cast is just so close and warm and loving... it's now timeless I think.
7 Christopher Walker from Nottingham: As the producer of all 94 episodes, I am delighted that people still seem to be enjoying the show!
6 Helen Boyd from Lincolnshire: I love all the episodes, but especially the ones from the 3rd, 4th and 5th series. I went to see several of them being filmed at the studios in Nottingham and even got a kiss from Joe McGann (Charlie).
5 Jenn from Canada: I watched the upper hand on WTN here in Canada back in the early 90's. I fell in love with the show instantly! Since it was a spawn of Who's The Boss, I took a shining to it, but the chemistry between Caroline and Charlie, and the wonderful cast, made the show first rate, and put it in its own class. I love watching re-runs of the show!
4 Debbie Owen from Cambridgeshire: I find myself even more hooked on this now than I did the first time around, just waiting for Charlie and Caroline to get it together makes you smile, the flirting, the gazing at each other, as if the others haven't noticed. If only life was that simple.
3 Jennifer from England: Okay, so let's have no illusions here - 'The Upper Hand' doesn't have the best writing in the world, and the jokes are a tad on the cliched side, but I have to say that I love this programme for mainly nostalgic reasons, as it reminds me of growing up! (I was 10 when it first started!) But for me, the ongoing 'will-they, won't they?' plot line between Charlie and Caroline is the single biggest reason for watching, and is what kept me hooked, both as a youngster and now as a student, thanks to these welcome repeats! Although the scripts are never sharp, and the humour sometimes lame, the acting is uniformly good, and the tone sweet natured and fun. This programme never tries to be something that it isn't.
2 Mark from Surrey: The Upper Hand was and is thanks to the re - runs on GP fab, thanks to a great cast and unstoppable chemistry between charlie and caroline. long may it run on GP.............
1 Christoper O'Reilly from Mill Green: I remember watching it when it was first broadcast on Central TV in the 90s and thinking it was just the perfect concept for a sitcom - two different classes of people living together and making the best of life. Then of course there was the somewhat controversial idea of having a man as housekeeper whilst the rich single mother earned her living as an advertising executive. I was bowled over the young beatiful actress Kellie Bright, and charmed by the ex-Avenger Honor Blackman. The parts were well suited to all of the main characters (Diana Weston, William Puttock, Honor Blackman, Kellie Bright and Joe McGann) and the comedy was good clean fun. The Best of British spawned from an equally brilliant American TV series (Who's The Boss).
