7 Susie Howard from Luton: Love this series, pleased to see that season 3 will be out in April 11.
6 Brian King from LOndon: I have waited years for the Chief to be produced on DVD and now it is. Series 1 & 2 are now out. I cannot wait fro the whole series to be on DVD. As a retired Police Offier I found the Chief a refreshing look at an alternative side of policing i.e. the politics of running the force. Great series.
5 jb from London: The first series of The Chief is available on dvd as a import from the Netherlands, in English with Dutch subtitles and can be purchased through amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/CHIEF-1-Martin-Shaw/dp/B0029M9E7C/ref=classictelly-21?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1243975981&sr=8-13/classictelly-21 It's a bit pricey at £31.00
4 jb from london: For those that like The Chief there was a behind the scenes book published in 1995 called 'On Duty with 'The Chief' by Peter Haining published by Boxtree and available on Amazon. It has interviews with both Tim Pigott Smith and Martin Shaw. I thought the theme music was rather good, I hope they repeat it on ITV3 or release on dvd!
3 Kev from South Yorkshire: ITV 3 have shown a one-off episode last week. I spoke to their programming department who have said they have passed my request on to the scheduling team. The more people that write to them, maybe they will re run the whole series.
2 Kev from South Yorkshire: Great drama. Wish it would be re run. Trying desperatly to find who has the rights to show it again ? Would pay a small fortune to have the lot on DVD but its never been released. Shame cos the series was great and puts some of todays stuff to shame.
1 Geoff Pritchard from Edinburgh: I was an "extra" that was filmed in HMP Barlinnie, Glasgow Scotland. I played the part of a Policeman and spent a day in the company of Tim Piggott-Smith who was charming as were the rst of the crew. We had some laughs at their expense. Altogehter we had a great day with great food and we got paid to do it.
