Jill's conversation with the cops (one evidently digs Miami Vice) concluding with the slightly surreal, Plater-esque comment: Ms. Swinburne, we are the pumpkins, and especially Mr Pitt, erstwhile bureaucrat dancing, lost in the music, beneath the colored lights...his bit about living one's life sideways being the best way to avoid what lies ahead...I'm currently doing likewise, having also been made redundant.
