3 David Stanley from Farmington, New Mexico USA: The Partridge Family came on every Friday night right after the Brady Bunch in its 4 year run (1970-74). While the Brady Bunch was the fun and sometimes corny series, the Partridge Family was the cool series.

Loosely based on the real life group The Cowsills, The Partridge Family toured the country in their old GMC bus (resembling an old church bus I rode in in the 1970s) and sang in every episode.

As a small kid at the time, I couldn't really relate to this show, but upon watching reruns as of late, I can see how well this show was made, and how many memories of that era it brings back to me.

The Partridge Family was all about the music, and while as a made for TV band many of their songs were better than others (and were recorded by a studio band), as a whole it beats just about any singing group today (Hear that Britney Spears?).

My favorite episode was the one where they are at a sea park (Sea World?) and are singing a song to the whales. Just beautiful!

1 Olivia from Stockholm, Sweden: The Partridge family premiered in 1970. It lasted for four years. Not very long. I wasn't born yet. I didn't notice that "The Partridge Family" lasted for four years.
