The Avengers Fan Tributes
8 Tim from USA: Patrick Macnee and Dame Diana Rigg were two of my first TV heroes when I was a little fellow. This show is one of my all time favorites. Pure British class and style. Makes me so proud of my English and Welsh heritage.
7 james from kent: i found the show on re-runs and thought it was amazing. i even splashed out on the actual darts sean connery had in the movie. at only 26 im a bit behind everyone else, but i still watch the box sets and buy related items, so i'll cath up!
6 Ignacio from Buenos Aires: Great show, I would love to see a show in which the characters are gentlemen nowadays. They were so smart, great clothings they wore. And Mrs. Peel is who I consider the sexiest woman on TV ever. Love them.
5 Odalys from Florida: The Avengers hit it's peak during the Emma Peel years. No surprise, Emma and Steed were each other's Ying and Yang.
4 Gary Gladney from Canada: I have been an Avengers
fan for years from the very
beginning up to the movie!
I collect anything I can,
and any other memorabilia
I can find.It never seems dated and is one of the
best and classiest shows
ever to grace our TV
3 kathy mcgoldrick from winchester mass: Loved Steed and Mrs Peel. The Avengers was a great show. Diana is a wonderful actress. Love you fan Kathy
2 DAVE from LONDON: The best series featured Linda Thorson surely the most attractive of the Avenger girls and Macnee had perfected the character Steed and the episodes were delightfully tongue in cheek
1 anne from belgium: It was new then - it still feels new now - dirty years onwards! And for once there were leading women who didn't need to wait to be rescued but could stand up for themselves! Just wonderful British TV! Wish they would still make such stuff.
