8 Dave from West Midlands: Jeremy Brett was brilliant as Sherlock Holmes, he is sadly missed.
7 Dominic from York: Jeremy Brett is the best Sherlock Holmes there ever was and will ever be. he does not play him as cold or emosionless as the other actors did. i think it is so funny when he is searching for somthing and he just throws his papers everywhere, and when he shouts Mrs Hudson to move the brekfast, or when they go out on a moments knotice. but Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwicke are the best Holmes and Watson ever.
6 Karen from The Isle Of Wight: I've just started watching them and I must say they are totally wonderful, especially Jeremy Brett who was battling manic depression while filming the series. A great program. I am looking forward to seeing more episodes.
5 Bekah from Surrey: My Favourite Holmes Eccentric Moments/ Scenes
1. When he is hiding out in a cave but still in immaculate gentlemans attire - including a top hat!
2. When he buys a statue for £100 ( a LOT of money then!) then breaks it because he 'thought there might be something hidden in it'
3. When he nearly set the place on fire by carelessly tossing a lighted match over his shoulder
4. Similarly, when he took some tobacco out of the persian slipper and decided he didn't like it, instead of just putting it back, threw it on the floor!
5.The way he sits in the lotus position on chairs (I thought I was the only one!)
6. Anytime he gets high-thats always funny!
4 Emma Cass from Bishop's Stortford: I love watching Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes he plays Holmes with such accuracy if you read the book before you saw the show he is as you expect him to be. I love the scene in The Empty House where the case is all wrapped up Holmes picks up a pinch of tobacco looks at it and decides it's no good so throws it casually over his shoulder all I think is poor Mrs Hudson what a job to clean up after him!!
3 Jane Parkinson from Sale,Cheshire: I love the piece where Sherlock casually mentions to Dr Watson, about having a brother Mycroft. The look on Watsons face, and the effect of the Diajanese club is brilliant. Particularly as Mycroft does not turn round when Sherlock enters the club.
2 JEFF JACOBS from BLOOMFIELD, CONNECTICUT U.S.A.: How I envy the viewers who are able to watch the Sherlock Holmes series. It is many months since I last saw a segment, the late Jeremy Brett was brilliant in the part. Over 200 Channels on digital TV in North America and not one showing Corrie St or Sherlock Holmes.
1 C Parkinson from Isle of Wight: Jeremy Brett is Sherlock Holmes as David Suchet is Hercule Poirot.........brilliant.
