Open All Hours Fan Tributes
10 Laura Kinton from Nottingham : Love open all hours and would love to know the dates of the three days in November when they are filming at the shop as I really want to go and watch, can anyone help?
9 judith patterson from new zealand: i liked open all hours, Ronnie barker was very funny, kepping a straight face must have been hard, then to see where the young guy jason went on to, also the small shops, my parents had a grocer shop, then they change the roads, and you have to close, fond memories, another one not with us, and morcom and wise.
8 Norma Addison from West Yorkshire: Winderful comic timing.. Arkwright on phone to complaining customer who has found a fly in his currant tea cake "it is not our policy to give refunds however if you bring in the fly I will give you a currant for it"...... to fall back on a cliche they dont make them like that any more
7 Andy from Halifax: I have so many favourite moments from Open all Hours. The one that always has me doubled in two is when the VAT inspectors visits Arkwright. As soon as he walks in the door he announces he's stood in some dog poo. Arkwright looks at his shoe and says "you definately got your 15% of that me old son" - priceless :o)
6 saad from Qatar: my fav moment was when granville was dragged into the naughty neighbours house and had an experience!
5 Sally-Ann from Nr Mansfield, UK: Would anyone know the number of the house that Gladys Emmanual lived at? In the show of course.
Would love to know as it was a question in a quiz, so now its puzzling me a little. sorry.
4 jacqui c-w from bournemouth: My favourite sketch is Granville riding along on his bike with a pai of legs sticking out of his basket! No body else could have played Arkwright only the late great Ronnie Barker - king of comedy
3 neil from doncaster: I am trying to find out where the original pilot episode of open all hours was filmed, I was born and bred in doncaster where the tv series was shot and actually lived around the corner from the shop and watched it being filmed. I have recently found the orignal pilot and noticed it wasnt the same place and nowhere I recognized in doncaster.
2 John from UK: Nurse Gladys Emmanuel's surname is "Emmanuel" ... brilliant show... f-f-f-fetch your cloth Granville
1 tim holland from oldham: what was nurse gladys emmanuel's surname??????
