5 darren tyler from barry, uk: i loved knight rider from the moment i first saw it every episode is fantastic
4 David Stanley from Farmington, New Mexico, USA: Knight Rider is an early 80s show with David Hasselhoff, although the real star of the show was the car, "Kitt", a 3rd generation Pontiac Firebird/Trans-Am.
This 3rd generation Firebird represented the low point of General Motors' performance, technology, and quality control. The engines of that era were choked down with anti-smog/pollution equipment that exceeded the designers' abilities to incorporate those systems into an intergral part of the engine management system. While today, things have improved with anti-smog equipment designed within the operating parameters of the engine management computers which allows the engines to breathe and operate efficiently, the cars of the late 70s/early 80s were choked down into lethargy with horrible performance and crappy gas mileage.
Quality control was also a major problem of that era with GM - the Japanese already had a choke hold on the American auto industry, and GM, Ford, and Chrysler were still trying to incorporate the Asian quality control and manufacturing techniques into their plants. Most cars of that era were plastic and aluminum monstrosities that would fall apart quickly (which my parents can attest bitterly to).
With that said, the show was still entertaining enough although a little silly to watch today.
3 david hunter from belfast: i like the episodes trust doesn't rust and kitt vs karr
2 Donna from Minnesota: My husband is big into Knight Rider and got me into it, we own seasons one and two and I love every episode, and the relationship kitt and michael have.
1 harry marwa from bham: hi the show is awesome. still on tv it a hit whenever its shown. the best episodes are michael verses garth knight and KITT verses KARR. this is what is called vintage 80's tv. brilliant.....bye for now
