Jason King Fan Tributes
5 Carl Hufton from Nottingham, England: My Mum and I loved the campness of Peter Wyngarde's portrayel as Jason. I think my mum also fancied him!! I was no surprise, really, when, tears' later, I found Peter to be Gay. Still watch the prograsm now and I thinkit stand up well.
4 terry (porky) clayton from brighton: jason was my hero in the 70,s and i have tried to emulate him all the way through the 80,s 90,s and 00,s and dont care that people laugh at my jason king moustache .... they are only jealous
3 Johny from Japan(currently): Jasons fabbo mo, sideburns, and frilled shirts were a cack! If he wasnt the TRUE inspiration for Austin Powers I dont know who was! Bring hom back!
2 anastasia from manchester: Jason King was just THE definitive sexy, suave guy with a brain: an formative years model of The Perfect Man.
1 Dave from Bristol: Part crime-writer, part detective, Jason King was a 70s series which built on the success of Department S and followed the exploits of its most flamboyant operative. His nom-de-plume Mark Cain had some very strange book titles but my favourite is "People in Glass Houses Shouldn't". Its also one of those series where you see early performance by later great actors. I seem to remember Anthony Hopkins for one, appearing in either JK or Dept S. Felicity Kendall also I recall. Anyway, well worth a look. Unfortunately only 1 DVD was made and I guess, due to the lack of sales, more will probably not be forthcoming :(
