A light-hearted series combining murder, mystery and medicine. Four-time Emmy award winner Dick Van Dyke stars as Dr Mark Sloan, a dedicated doctor working at LA's Community General Hospital. Busy as he is, he finds the time to double up as a consultant to the police department, assisting his real life and on-screen son Lieutenant Steve Sloan (Barry Van Dyke).

Dick is without doubt a truly fantastic loveable actor the world is a better place for having him in it!!
25 Heather Lucy from Knoxville: Diagnosis Murder was and still is my favorite show. I especially like the tv shows where Dick Van Dyke and his son Barry Van Dyke always had disagreements. I also like the shows where Barry Van Dyke tells his dad to keep out of the case, but his dad never listened.

The actors are great i love all of them amanda is amazing really powerful and we would all love a doctor like mark. Personal favourite has to be steve if i saw a bloke who looked like that nd acted the same way i would have to chase him round the world and ask him to marry me. i think there would be a queue though!!!!!! all in all a great show with lovely characters and people you learn to love. thank you

I am a great fan of the serie and I don't miss a single episode when it is aired on french TV channels. Just hope DM will be aired for a long time !

I have a debilitating disease which has insisted on bringing me into reality every hour of th day. With dick van dyke i am transported into another world free from restrictions. I grew up with Dick van dyke and i owe him alot !!! Thank-you all for allowing me the freedom of your talent.

This could take up the entire site, but I'd agree with Sue, the banter and brotherly bickering between Steve and Jesse is just priceless ! I love the closeness and loyalty of these four friends who are more like family. And the humour too, of course, as well as the in jokes. One of my favourites is where the three musical instruments that Charlie Schlatter plays, and his love of golf, are worked into the storyline.
1 Susan Gamble from Brighouse: Favourite moments or memories from Diagnosis Murder? Any of the banter between Steve and Jesse (Barry Van Dyke and Charlie Schlatter) - they do it so well. Or the scene at the end of Murder x 4 (6th season), where all the lights go out and all you can hear is Jesse's infectious giggle!
