56 tim from Cheshire: With Sally and the lovely Di Coupland in the show, who wouldnt be captivated.
Sally Geeson looked to be about 15 yrs old, but in fact she was in her 20s when she joined the show.
55 Feridon Jaimoukha from Jordan: Just watching Sid James doing anything on the screen is funny enough. He is one of the British Comedy greats. I fell in love with Sally in Bless this house when I was 8 years old in 1975! farewell Sid. We love you forever.
54 john from leeds: Hi diana coupland was my cousin, often tried to contact her but never could.
53 annoynamuos from australia: robins alive and well and still is the life of any party

51 Mary from New Zealand: Hi there, have just been watching re-runs of 'Bless This House' and would like to know what is robin stewart who played Mike Abbot doing now, and when was he born?
50 Dave antony from Spain: Sally was so lovely,i dont understand why she has no official website, always loved her to bits, any news of her would be nice, thanks, Davie
49 brian from scotland: loved this show still do. what happened to sally geeson - whats she doing now
48 sam from malta: after discovering that the four members of the tv sitcom series 'bless this house' sid, diana, anthony and patsy have passed away i just can't believe it!i mean i used to watch the show when i was a kid way back in the early 1970's in england.
it's such a grieving loss that will never be replaced and the absence of their presence will be deeply missed and felt forever as their memories will never be erased.the only thing best to do is watch the entire series day by day and bring back all that british 70's nostalgia for i'm sure that that will please the cast.
47 jason from devon: I really wish i could of met sid james. Unfortunately for me he died when i was six years old. He was the best thing to happen to British tv
46 jane from australia: To answer your question Dorit from Manchester, Sid had a heart attack during a performance at a theatre and died on the way to hospital.
45 jane from australia: absolutely love it. i was born in england so i grew up with the show and all the carry on movies.what happened to the original mike i cannot find any info on him.now my kids watch it to.and calling each other mush has also rubbed off on them.
44 paul from derbyshire: re: Robin Stewart, not sure what he's doin now but he was in Australia many years ago when he appeared in Son's and daughters.
43 david bowey from newcastle upon tyne: What is Robin Stewart, star of Bless This House, doing now?
42 Chris from Blackpool: Hi I love this comedy like I love most comedys from this era even tho im only 18 my mum and dad had taped them all bless this house dads army porridge rising damp ect and I wactched them and loved them since being about 10 and it is quite upssetting to find out that most of your favorite actors have Died sid james dian coupland ect but they have left an amzing comedy and hopefully they have gone to heaven to entertain there god bless x
41 Bryan from London: If anyone is interested, the exterior shots of the Abbot house is a house in New Malden, Surrey. The house is at the corner of Howard Road and Dukes Avenue. The multi storey car park that you can see over the road is still there and New Malden railway station is only 100 yards away. many of the exterior scenes were filmed locally to the house too (although all the local pub names were made up).
I think they picked new malden because Sid was the star of the show and he didnt want to have to travel too far to work, and Teddington studios is only about 3 miles away.
40 Clive Johnson from Cornwall: I recall many many years ago, going to the Thames Television studios in Teddington to see an episode of Bless This House made. I can remember very little about it except that the subject of the show was a new Freezer. Does anyone know if this episode is still available on DVD? It would be good to see it again after all these years.
39 scott webb from essex: Enjoyed sidney james in carry on so liked him in this aswell. Don't know much about diana coupland who plays jean only seen her in this she is good. Wasn't even born when it was made or finished. Thank god for cable tv coz the original broadcaster won't show. A great laugh.
38 rod hayman from south wales: this is the best all time.
i remember it the first time around and it`s still great today.
can anyone tell me what happend to sally geeson ?
37 Charles Calthorpe from Manchester: Sid James and his co stars on this were excellent.
36 Anonoymous from England: I've just bought this classic show on DVD and it's very funny. I wasn't born when the show was first shown - I'm only 22 - but Sid James is a true comic legend - and even though he was born in South Africa, he was a naturalised and archetypal Brit. Cheers Sid - thanks a lot for the endless joy you brought. Sleep tight old pal! Lie in comfort and warmth for good, old son. And carry on the laughs with Tony Hancock now that you're back together. Sleep tight old pal!
35 graham from colne lancashire: a classic sit com they dont make like it now the oldies are good.
34 Emma Brooks from Middlesbrough: Where sid has been out with trevor and the boy scouts and he cant remeber where he went and he puts trevor's shoes in the freezer.
33 Andy from Jersey: All of it !!! The whole series is as classic Brit-Com as you can get !!! More please !!!
32 sharon from north wales: My most memorable part in bless this house the movie was when sid realised that mike had welded the stop cock on to his school project and mike is screaming for his mum saying dads gone potty classic telly.
31 Matthew Reynolds from Oxford UK: What a brilliant comedy actor Sid James was! We all owe that great comic so much for all the laughs that he has given us in top quality shows like Bless This House. An excellent series - far better than much of the rubbish passing for comedy that they make these days.
30 Matthew from Somerset: Sid James is brilliant as Sid Abbott. I haven't seen all the episodes but I have seen the film with Carry On co-stars Patsy Rowlands, Terry Scott and June Whitfield.
Diana Coupland is excellent as Jean Abbott.
29 harry marway from goodmayes ilford: Hi I have watched the series this week and it is really funny. Sid James is a cult figure of comedy.
28 richard from kingston surrey: the answer to bryans question is it was filmed in a building in New Malden surrey just off the high street and the building opposit really is there, it is offices and a car park.
27 ANDY ELLIOTT from BOURNEMOUTH: Bless This House is an example of pure British comedy as it should be. About the stress strains and of course the joys of every day family life. It's sadly missed but always enjoyed. Sally Geeson is gorgeous of course but eveyone was good in it!! Bless you all Love Andy.
26 John Brandom from Milton Keynes: I agree with Richard from Sheffield, Sid was one of our greatest comedy imports, being a South African by birth. It was an absolute tragedy he died so young in 1976 aged 63,along with other comic geniuses. He would have made a great comedy film director, and although a great fan of Bless This House, l feel his great comedy contribution was in film and his partnership with another legend Tony Hancock - we miss you Sid!
25 Bryan Crombleholme from blackpool: does anybody know where it was set and what the builing is opposite the house (painted scene thru front door) it looks like they live in a 1970s car park ?
24 richard from sheffield: Sid was a genius in all his
roles,especially his films
which were very wide and varied but I must admit he
excelled himself in Bless This
House and the series ,even now, never seems to date.
23 Dorit from Manchester: Well I wasn't born to watch it, I'm 13 and it's really funny. When did Sid James die and why?
22 Nicholas from Redhill: I enjoy the above. However there were too few Asian Faces, Coloured Faces, or European Faces, in the various Series.
I found the episode featuring Jean & Sid in World War 2 hard to accept. They, like Hercule Poirot, in another Flashback Episode, did not look a day younger.
21 Mike from Leeds: Same as Paul and PJ loved the show, would really like to know what happened to the rest of the cast, in particular Sally Geeson. Catching it on cable at the moment. It showcases what a genius dear Sid was.
20 PJ from Manchester: Just as interested as Paul from wolverhampton. what happened to the rest of the cast after Sid died?
19 Tony Makara from Bolton: The show just doesn't seem dated at all, in spite of the Gilbert O'Sullivan posters in Sally's bedroom. Sid is a comic-master in every scene and even the supporting cast with the likes of Trevor add something to this excellent sit-com.
18 Ben from Sussex: The Black and white episodes are about, I taped them on sky in 1997, They are also available on DVD from Australia. Complete first series. Best programme on TV
17 Lindsay Martin from Toowoomba, Australia: In the '80s Robin Stewart was living in Australia on a country property near Toowoomba (west of Brisbane) and announcing on a local radio station, 4WK. He was very good, too! I saw him compering a busking competition in Toowoomba with a well-known Aussie country singer who was no help at all, and Robin was terrific: a true professional. I don't know where he is now.
16 Paul from Wolverhampton: Great Show in it's time and still great today, how many shows can you say that about? but what happened to all of the actors in the series?, I know dear old sid is no longer with us but what happened to the rest, would love to know.
15 Greg Tanner from Northampton: Just a related bit of trivia really: Did you know that Diana Coupland provided the dubbed singing voice for Ursula Andress in 'Dr No'? the song was 'Underneath the Mango Tree'.
14 frank george from Dymchurch, Kent: I have all episodes on tape or DVD except b/w series 1 no"s.2,5 and 6 which were not shown on sat-TV and which I believe are not existent in the TV Archives. I rate Sally Geeson as the prettiest girl then and now! My favourite episode is "The Loneliness of the Short Distance Walker". I hope one day that all the episodes will be on DVD, not just series 1.
13 freddie from ELGIN: all these classic episodes are excellent all that is good in british comedy
12 Melanie Walker from Tipton West Midlands: I used to watch Bless This House and thought it was brilliant the timing was excellent and there could not have been a better cast for that programme I still watch it today and still find it as funny.
11 richard john speight from hastings east sussex: I look back with a smile on my face when i see bless this house, it made me laugh then and it does the same now, also in the film it is nice to see terry scott driving a vauxhall viscount as i used to own myself.
10 Wayne Manor from Essex: Sid James is one of the all time greats.
9 Bryan Mitchell from Derby, England: Every one of Bless This House episodes was brilliant. Great cast and very funny.
I met Sid at Skegness Pier Theatre just before his untimely death. He was a really very nice person. I am so proud to say I still have his autograph.
8 graham knight from london: bless this house was one of the best comedy shows of the 70s alas nothing to day can come close to the timing of this classic comedy
7 john vilday from kent: In the film of Bless This House when sid is in the shed makeing whiskey and a bit gets spilled on some wood and takes the varnish off but they still drunk it
6 samuel brown from london: Bless this house is one of the best comedies ever !
5 Rob Lubbock from East Midlands Leics: Another Thames classic sitcom from the 70's. Personal favourite episode "The Frozen Limit" from the final series in 1976, as sadly we lost dear Sid James that year, I believe if Sid was still alive then I am sure that Thames would have made another series?
Sid was great as Sid Abbott and Diana as Jean.
4 Steve Finsley from Nottingham: The best episode of this show was without doubt, 'A Touch Of The Unknown' in which Sid's house was invaded by 'Hob Goblins' and 'The Plastergeist!' when Jean & Betty used a Ouija board to contact the spirit of the glass.
3 Linda from Newcastle Upon Tyne: Bless This House is an all-time classic - first saw it when aged 4! Sid was a marvel, they all were. Some things are dated on tv, but that will never date!
2 James Goodwin from Barnsley: I love retro comedy, and this in partcular-the cast was excellent and sid james was seldom in anything which was poor. It invokes memories of childhood too, as itv re-ran some episodes when I was quite young in the 1980's.
favourite episode was "a beef in his bonnet"...really funny stuff, especially when Diana Coupland remarked that Buenos Aires was in Italy.
1 David Campbell from Hawick: it is my fav because Sid James is in it, one of the great masters of comedy
